Oxford has eaten me.

I’m so, so, SO busy here. I miss the internet. Oxford is really pretty, but we haven’t gotten much time to explore because it’s been orientation for the students, and we have to accompany them everywhere. But starting tomorrow they’re on their own for the most part, so then I should have time to go into town and check things out. Maybe the computer lab will open up soon so that I can load some photos as well - currently, I’m bouncing between my coworkers’ computers whenever I get a chance.

Everyone here is great, and my group of girls is good, although I don’t know them that well yet. What else? The pound-to-dollar exchange is painful, but I’ve stopped converting the prices in my head so I can just forget about it for now. I’ve tracked down a couple good coffee shops, and I’m starting to order “red eyes” (drip coffee with a shot of espresso), which gets me strange looks, but it’s fantastic. I love the weather here - every day it switches between clouds and rain to sun and blue skies. The only thing I can’t wait for is time during the day to nap.
